September 13th, Austin, TX- The 14th Annual Production of “La Pastorela” in Austin will be produced by the Austin Latino Theater Alliance.

Spanish-speaking actors, singers, dancers and musicians of all ages, ethnicities, shapes and sizes are needed for this year’s production.  Performers are paid a stipend.

“La Pastorela” is a musical comedy, which tells the story of a group of shepherds trying to reach Bethlehem while they fend off the obstacles placed before them by the savvy devils.

“La Pastorela” opens on Thursday, December 1st and runs through Saturday, December 17th with performances from Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. 

ALTA is a coalition of theater groups, arts organizations and individual artists dedicated to preserving Austin’s premiere Yuletide production, "La Pastorela."
